Barako Bull has a blemish at its record now.

A hard-fought game from tip-off, Rain or Shine emerged victorious and drew the first loss of Barako Bull, 91-83. The E-Painters showed their determination to win, with Coach Yeng Guiao drawing up a play in the last 10 seconds for Gabe Norwood. Norwood responded by slamming an alley-oop to hammer the final nail at the coffin of the Energy.

Jeric Teng finally had his breakout game, finishing with 10 points in 16 minutes of play to get out of his shooting slump. Raymond Almazan was still steady, scoring eight points and grabbing 11 boards for Rain or Shine.

Tyrone Tang led the balanced charge for the Elasto Painters with 14 markers, only missing once from the field. JR Quinahan and Jeff Chan had 13 and 11, respectively. Paul Lee also finished with 10 alongside Teng. Lee also dished out four dimes.

Willie Miller scored 23 markers and gave five assists to lead the assault of Barako Bull. Ronjay Buenafe, though, finished with a sub-par performance compared to his previous games, giving 14 points. Notably absent is the scoring of Mark Isip, JC Intal, and Keith Jensen. Isip scored six points on 3-of-11 shooting, Intal had five on 2-of-7, while Jensen, who was perfect from beyond the arc in his last two games, was struggling and could not manage a single point.

Coach Guiao distributed the minutes of his players well, with only Quinahan, Almazan and Beau Belga playing more than 20 minutes. Also, all 14 players played for Rain or Shine. (GS)
