Clash of Generations
Two players, one a familiar face for the other team, the other looking to replace the former's throne, will have the spotlight on them this Friday.
Gary David, the previous main man of GlobalPort Batang Pier, faces off against upcoming rookie sensation Terrence Romeo, who many fans believe will fill in the void left by David, in this Friday edition of the 2013 PLDT-MyDSL PBA Philippine Cup.
Romeo, who as of late is one of the league-leaders in terms of scoring (22.5), will be expected to provide the scoring once again with fellow FEU teammate RR Garcia, Ateneo stars Justin Chua and Nico Salva, and holdovers Sol Mercado and Jay Washington.
David, meanwhile, will be backed by Jared Dillinger, who was instrumental in the win against Barangay Ginebra, John Wilson, Sunday Salvacion, Mike Cortez, and Rabeh Al-Hussaini.
Three-point shooting will be a crucial factor on this game, as both teams will be lacking inside presence, especially Meralco, who lost Reynel Hugnatan from an injury early in the Barangay Ginebra match. (GS)
